Amanda Garrobo Arellano

April 16, 1977 — December 6, 2025

Thatcher, Arizona

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Amanda Garrobo Arellano, a loving wife, dedicated mother, and proud grandmother, who left this world on December 6, 2025, in Thatcher, Arizona. Born on April 16, 1977, in Morenci, Arizona, Amanda's life was marked by her radiant personality and her unwavering commitment to her family.

As a devoted homemaker, Amanda found joy in the art of creating warmth and love within her home. She was known for her talkative and easy-going nature, making her a personable and caring presence to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her genuine kindness touched many lives, and her patience and loving spirit were a source of comfort to those around her. To her family, she was lovingly recognized as "short," but it was her grand accomplishments that towered above all.

Amanda graduated from Thatcher High School in 1997, and it was there that she laid the foundation for a life filled with love and devotion. On June 18, 1994, she married her beloved husband, David Chavez Arellano, in a beautiful ceremony held at the First Southern Baptist Church in Thatcher. Their union was one of deep love and mutual respect, a partnership that flourished over the years and brought forth three wonderful children: Marisol (Michael) Weber, Carmen (Kyron) Arellano Nichols, and David (Karina) Arellano Vega. Each of them carried a piece of her heart, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments.

Amanda's legacy is further enriched by her two cherished grandchildren. The simplest joys of life—baking with them, cooking their favorite meals, drawing, singing, and caring for them—brought Amanda unparalleled happiness. Her role as a grandmother was one of her proudest accomplishments, proving that love knows no bounds.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Amanda’s life will be held on December 17, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel and Gila Valley Crematory in Safford, Arizona. It will be a time for family and friends to come together to honor her memory and share in the love she so abundantly gave.

Amanda Garrobo Garrobo Arellano leaves behind her devoted husband, David, her loving parents, David and Sylvia Garrobo, her adored children, and her precious grandchildren. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, a gentle reminder of the power of love and family. Rest in peace, dear Amanda; you will be forever missed and cherished.
