Anthony W. Hosay, affectionately known as "Ajay" born on June 7, 1979, in San Carlos, Arizona, passed away tragically on February 8, 2026, in Bylas, Arizona. His unexpected departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
As a journeyman carpenter, Ajay dedicated his life to hard work and selflessness, skillfully contributing to significant projects like the Bylas bridge and the Toyota test site. His hands shaped not just materials but also the lives around him. He embodied a spirit of perseverance and determination, which was evident in every task he undertook.
Ajay will be remembered as a loving husband to Cheryl Hosay, and as a devoted father to his children: Payton, Olivia, and Anthony W. Hosay, Jr. He had a unique way of connecting with each of them, creating nicknames that brought smiles and laughter, with countless playful moments that will forever echo in their memories. Anthony’s love for his family was unwavering; he cherished every moment spent with them and ensured that every day was made memorable.
He was also a beloved brother to his sisters—Duranna, Doreen, Debbie, Joanna, Denise, Sue, and a supportive brother to Anderson Grimes, Sr., Kenneth Nozie, and Daniel Hosay, Jr. His warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on their lives, and his absence will be deeply felt.
In addition to his family ties, Ajay held a special affection for his dogs, Chaco and Ginger, who brought him boundless joy. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including watching Cardinals football and Yankees baseball, and spending time fishing—activities that highlighted his love for nature and companionship.
The services to honor Ajay's life will be as follows: a visitation will be held at the Hosay residence in Bylas on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM. Following this, a funeral service will take place at the Bylas Miracle Church on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM, followed by a burial at Black Point Cemetery at 1:00 PM the same day.
