Antonio "Tony" G. Garcia, entered into eternal rest in January 2020. He was born in June 1944, in Silver City, New Mexico to parents Ernest & Geraldine Garcia. Tony graduated from Safford High School, attended Eastern Arizona Junior College, University of Arizona and graduated from Northern Arizona University. He served 4 1/2 years in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict earning the rank of Specialist Four. Tony worked for years at the Arizona copper mines as a laborer and chemist. Tony enjoyed traveling the country on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and eventually settled back in Safford. Tony is survived by his brothers Ernest Garcia (wife, Susan) and Dr. Steve Garcia (wife, Sandra Jayne) and sister, Olivia (Corrine) Carr, seven nephews, four nieces, and 19 great-nephews and 18 great-nieces. He was predeceased by his father, Ernest Wiest Garcia, and mother, Sadie (Geraldine) Garcia. Tony was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend who will stay in our hearts forever.
