Armando Goseyun, known fondly as "Mando" or "Stardust" to his friends and family, passed away on October 11, 2025, in his hometown of Bylas, Arizona. Born on May 11, 1959, he was a remarkable individual whose life was marked by dedication, hard work, and a profound love for his family and community.
Armando was a proud graduate of East Fork Mission High School, completing his education in 1978. Throughout his career, he made significant contributions as a miner at Phelps Dodge in Morenci, worked as a ranch hand, and served as a truck driver for IDF in Whiteriver. His tenacity and work ethic were evident in every endeavor he undertook.
Armando also served in the Marines for a short time, exemplifying a commitment to serve and protect. He carried this protective nature throughout his life—always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Armando was well-regarded for his friendly demeanor and was often seen greeting others with a warm smile. He inspired many with his wisdom, strength, and steadfast belief in God.
A dedicated family man, Armando cherished his role as a father and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved son, Jonah Goseyun; his other son, Tyrone Quade; his grandsons, Tyrone Quade, Jr. and Adam Quade; and his loving girlfriend, Lydia. He also leaves behind his sisters, Zahra Goseyun, Arminda Goseyun, Cara Goseyun, and Rose Goseyun, as well as his brother, Carlton Goseyun.
Armando joins his late father, Arman Dan Goseyun, his late mother, June B. Goseyun, and his late sister, Sheena Marie Goseyun, in eternal rest.
His proudest accomplishments include being an active member of the Ash Creek Association, showcasing his dedication to his community and the bonds he formed within it.
A visitation will be held at the Goseyun residence on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. This will be followed by a funeral service on October 20, 2025, at Ernest Stanley Memorial Hall, beginning at 10:00 a.m.. Armando will be laid to rest at the Black Point Cemetery in Bylas at 12:00 p.m. on the same day.
Armando Goseyun's legacy of kindness, strength, and support will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
