Obituary

Arthur L. "Tootie" Ginn, 80, of Central, Arizona, passed away at his home on July 6, 2026.

Arthur was born on March 27, 1946, in Magdalena, New Mexico, to Patricia Ginn. He grew up in Duncan, where his mother met and married Red Ginn. From his father, Arthur learned invaluable life lessons, carrying forward a strong work ethic, a spirit of self-reliance, and a deep love for family.

On June 6, 1964, Arthur married the love of his life, Wanda Pennington. Together they shared 58 years of marriage before Wanda's passing in 2022.

Resourceful and determined, he built his family's home from the ground up with his own hands. He poured the concrete, laid the block, built the trusses, wired the electric, and completed much of the work himself. If there was something that needed to be done, Arthur believed in learning how to do it.

An outdoorsman, Arthur especially enjoyed elk hunting in his younger years and fishing at San Carlos. Some of his favorite memories were made during family Fourth of July celebrations there, where stories were shared, fish were caught, and oh the Fireworks.

He lived life on his own terms. Strong-willed and independent, he faced life with determination and conviction. He had a special love for babies, and in his last years he found great peace in reminiscing about the people, places, and experiences that had shaped his life.

Arthur was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda; his parents, Red and Patricia Ginn; and his granddaughter, Sarah Ginn.

He is survived by his four children: Darrin (Connie) Ginn of Mesa, Arizona: Sheri (Clay) Norris of Chandler, Arizona; Cindy Ginn of Johnson City, Tennessee; and Betsy (Todd) Cluff of Stansbury Park, Utah. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren: Rachelle, Trevor, Chris, Cassie, Casey, Chance, Douglas, Hunter, Megan, Caleb, and Elizabeth; and fifteen great-grandchildren: Ian, Olivia, Lilly, Chloe Marie, Cade, Cooper, Carly, Cole, Olivia, Thoralee, Brokk, Angel Ray, Gabe, Janelle, and Jett, along with many extended family members and friends.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18th beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the Central Cemetery.  Family & friends are invited to pay their last respects to such a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
