Bonnie Gregg

May 4, 1931 — August 19, 2025

Queen Creek, Arizona

Bonnie Gregg, a woman of great spirit and indelible charm, journeyed from this world on August 19, 2025, in Queen Creek, Arizona. Born on May 4, 1931, in Pima, Arizona, she filled a world with laughter and song, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Bonnie's vibrant personality was fueled by her quick wit and an enduring love for her family. A highly respected telephone operator, she dedicated her life not just to her profession but to the myriad joys that life had to offer. She was a woman blessed with a voice that made the heart swell; her musical talents were matched only by her enthusiasm for reading and her love of the piano. Bonnie often graced local theater productions, illuminating the stage with her performances, embodying creativity in every aspect of her life.

She was the proud mother of four daughters: Christia Varrato, Marcia (Dan) Hays, Katherine (Peter) Hansen, and Cecilie (Brian) Hudson, who carry forward her legacy of love and laughter. Each daughter cherished memories of their mother's sweet melody echoing through their childhood, for Bonnie was known to sing with a voice that could inspire joy even on the hardest of days. Alongside them are her many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will undoubtedly take with them the treasures of her spirit and artistry.

Bonnie was preceded in death by cherished family members, including her loving husband, Creighton A. Gregg, who stood by her side, and her dear sons, Robert and Scott Goodwin. She also mourned the losses of her parents, Harley James Carpenter and Gladys Maloy Carpenter, and her beloved granddaughter, Willow Hays, along with her treasured granddaughter, Tracy Goodwin. Each of these souls has left an imprint on her heart, bonds woven by love that extend beyond time itself.

In her absence, her brothers Doug (Barbara) and Dan (Peggy) Carpenter remain, holding onto memories of the beautiful moments shared with their sister. Together, they reflect on a life that was as richly woven as the fabric of the family she adored.

As we gather to remember Bonnie, we mingle our sorrows with gratitude for the laughter and love she spread through her artistry and devotion. Her legacy lives on in the songs she sang, the stories she shared, and the hearts she touched. While the world feels a little dimmer without her light, it also shines brighter for having known her. The music has faded, yet in the echo, we find comfort; her beautiful voice still lingers in the air, reminding us of her warmth, spirit, and boundless love.
