Carmel Elizondo 1945 ~ 2010 Carmel Mier Elizondo, 64, passed away January 24, 2010 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born December 10, 1945 in Yuma, AZ, daughter of Manuel and Catalina Mier. Married Arthur Elizondo; later divorced. Worked as a nurse providing care for all, mostly the elderly and less fortunate, but always tried to help anyone in need. She especially enjoyed her time with her granddaughter. Survived by son, Brandon and granddaughter, Ariana; sisters: Bea and Rosa Mier; and partner, Ed Garza. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2010, 6:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m.
