Christina Aguilar, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on April 27, 2025, in Duncan, Arizona, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. Born on January 31, 1966, in Morenci Arizona, Christina’s journey was marked by a bright spirit and an unwavering commitment to those she loved.
Christina graduated from Fountain Valley High School in 1984, a moment that launched her into a fulfilling career as a cosmetologist. Her artistic flair and nurturing disposition reflected her personality—beautiful and full of life, with laughter that was contagious and could light up any room. She embraced every moment with selflessness, demonstrating a caring and giving nature that made her an angel on earth.
On August 21, 1999, in a romantic ceremony at the Flamingo Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, she married her devoted husband, Robert Aguilar. Together, they created a life filled with joy, adventure, and an abundance of shared memories. Christina’s devotion to her family was unparalleled, and her proudest accomplishments were the births of her two beautiful children, Cara (Rafferty) Gushiewice and Matthew Aguilar. As a mother, she showered her children with love and encouragement, instilling in them the values of kindness and empathy.
Christina’s heart overflowed not only for her immediate family but also extended to include her dear grandson, Ronan Gushiewice. She cherished the moments spent playing and laughing together, often indulging in her favorite activities such as hiking, singing along to 80's hair bands, and enjoying nature’s beauty. These shared adventures will forever echo in the hearts of her loved ones.
Surviving Christina are her loving husband, Robert, her daughter Cara, her son Matthew, her grandson Ronan, and her father Carlos Munoz. She is also mourned by her brothers, Carlos Munoz, Jr. and Michael (Tim McTavish) Munoz, who will carry her memory forward. In addition, her beloved pets—Jack, Jill, and Mia—will miss their loyal companion who showered them with affection.
Christina is predeceased by her mother, Beatrice Munoz, who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms and a loving smile.
Her passing has left an irreplaceable void, but the memories of her laughter, warmth, and courageous spirit will continue to inspire all who were privileged enough to know her. Christina Aguilar touched the lives of many, and her legacy of love will forever live in our hearts. She will be deeply, deeply missed.
