Floydean Hicks

Floydean Johns Hicks entered eternal rest on 10/22/2022 surrounded by family that loves her, she was born February 18, 1942 in Virden, NM to Floyd and Wanda (Brown) Johns. She had such fond memories of her childhood and living on their farm in Virden. She attended Duncan High School where she enjoyed playing volleyball with her sister Alice Brown and her team. She married Frank Hicks on August 7, 1959, they were sealed for time and all eternity on May 8, 1965. Floydean and Frank welcomed 3 boys together, Jerry, Danny, and Wesley and they adopted a daughter Judy. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Wanda Johns, her husband Frank, all 3 sons Jerry, Wesley, and Danny, 4 sisters Alice, Dorine, Lorraine, and Viola, 2 brothers Van and Dewaine, and a great grand daughter Jingerale. She is survived by 2 brothers, Rodger (Michele) Johns and Robert Johns, a daughter in law Shawn Hicks, 8 grand children Coy (Melissa) Hicks, Vanessa (Dustin) Hamilton, Brandi (Tony) Bushnell, Laura, Andrea, Zaranda, Terrence, and Bradley, and 6 great grandchildren, Ava, Mathies, Jade, Quinton, Shasta, and Jasper. Floydean loved gardening, teaching the youth, serving her fellow man, and quilting. She was kind, loving, happy, and will be missed by all those that knew her.
