Freddie Sanchez

Fred M. Sanchez, 82, of Safford, Arizona, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Fred was born on January 24, 1943, and spent his life devoted to his family, his work, and his community. He was married to his beloved wife, Anna Tellez Sanchez, for 63 wonderful years. Together they built a beautiful life and family filled with love, laughter, and strong values.

Fred was a skilled carpenter by trade and took great pride in his work. When he wasn’t working, he could often be found tending to the Sanchez Cemetery, a place he cared for with deep respect and dedication.

He is survived by his wife, Anna, and his children: Nancy (Tommy) Gonzales, Fred Sanchez, Michael (Jrzy) Sanchez, Marty (Debra) Sanchez, and Megan Sanchez. He was a proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Fred was preceded in death by his daughter, his parents, and his brothers and sisters.

Services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m., with Mass to follow. Burial will take place at Sanchez Cemetery, with a luncheon immediately following at the Solomon Legion.

Fred will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
