Fritz Gilbert

Fritz Bob Gilbert, 76, of Bylas, Arizona, passed away July 29, 2017 in Globe, Arizona. He was born February 24, 1941 in Calva, Arizona to Jack & Julia Declay Gilbert. Fritz attended Ft. Thomas schools but his love was in doing Cowboy stuff - calf roping, bareback riding, bull riding and attending rodeos. He won numerous belt buckles for his bareback riding. He also loved family gatherings, drawing, calligraphy, reading and going for long walks. He is survived by his children; Terry Lee Gilbert, Dewayne Gilbert, Carla Moreno and Sally Van Haren and his brother, Max Gilbert, Sr., 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Fritz was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Julia Declay Gilbert, brother Clifford Gilbert, Sr. and sisters Claradina Gilbert, Rosalind Gilbert, Frieda Dona and Elva Hinton. A Wake will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Gilbert residence in Bylas, Arizona. The funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ernest Stanley Memorial Hall in Bylas, Arizona. Interment will be in the Black Point Cemetery following the services.
