Gabriel "Munchos" Grimes, a humble and dedicated rancher and welder, was born on June 17, 1964, in Phoenix, Arizona. He passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, leaving behind a legacy of love and hard work.
Gabriel was known for his quiet demeanor and kind spirit. His dedication to his work and his family defined his life, and he took great pride in being a member of the Ash Creek Cattle Association. He attended Ft. Thomas High School, where he developed a strong foundation that would guide him in his career.
He was particularly proud of marrying Wanda Johnson, with whom he shared a deep love and devotion. Their union was filled with cherished moments, including the birth of their children: Denise Grimes Kenton, Michael Grimes, Gabrielle Grimes, Gabriel Grimes, Jr., and the joy of watching them grow into adulthood. He is also survived by his brother Anderson & Brenda Grimes, brothers Daniel Hosay, Jr., Anthony Hosay, and Kenneth & Pauline Nozie, and sister Veronica Nozie, as well as seven beloved grandchildren, who were a source of immense pride and joy for him.
Gabriel had a variety of interests that enriched his life. He enjoyed reading, listening to local radio, and watching movies, often finding solace in these simple pleasures. His gentle nature and unwavering support to his family and friends will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held at the Grimes residence in Bylas, Arizona, on November 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Funeral services will take place at 1st Miracle Church in Bylas on November 29, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, with the burial following at Black Point Cemetery at 1:00 PM the same day.
Gabriel Grimes's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his humility, quiet strength, and the unwavering love he held for his family. His legacy will continue through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
