Harry Cervantez Nabor

d. September 12, 2025

Harry Cervantez Nabor, born on December 29, 1960, in Morenci, Arizona, unexpectedly departed this world on September 12, 2025, in Solomon, Arizona. A devoted family man, loyal friend, and cherished member of the community, Harry was a beacon of kindness and laughter to all who knew him.

Harry’s career as a Sampler along with various other jobs within Phelps Dodge Mine was marked not only by his dedication to his work but also by the warmth and laughter he exuded among his colleagues. Known for his quick wit and humorous spirit, he was often the life of the party, bringing joy and laughter into everyday moments. His love for children was palpable; they adored him and would actively seek him out, a testament to his nurturing nature. He frequently cooked for community gatherings, ensuring that first responders were well-fed during breakfasts, delivering warmth beyond just food. His enthusiasm for helping others shone through during Christmas parties and Thanksgiving dinners, where he opened his heart and home to those in need. He was also proud to be apart of the Honor Guard and attending the annual Fishing Derby at the county fairgrounds in Safford.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Salina (John) Szady and Jodie (James) Billingsley; his sons, Jeff (Nora) Rodriguez, Jason Rodriguez, and John Rodriguez; and his beloved sisters, Ellen (Eddie) McKenzie, Carolyn Sanchez, and Sally Nabor. He also leaves behind his brother, Jerry Nabor, along with 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom were a significant aspect of his joyful existence.

Harry took immense pride in his family, notably in marrying the love of his life, Glenda Stewart Nabor, in Clifton, Arizona, in 1984. Their bond was an inspiration, hand-in-hand through all of life’s seasons. Though Glenda, along with Harry's parents, Refugio and Raquel Cervantez Nabor, and brother Ernest Nabor, have passed, their memories stand as a testament to the love that enveloped Harry throughout his life.

As we reflect on Harry's legacy, we cherish the laughter he shared, the kindness he extended, and the love he nurtured. His spirit will forever linger in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. The memories of Harry will continue to light the way for many, and his stories will certainly be told with a smile in the days to come.
