Irma Jean Tessay, a beloved homemaker, was born on August 22, 1961, in San Carlos, Arizona. She left us unexpectedly on February 7, 2026, at the age of 64, in Chandler, Arizona. Irma led a life rich with love, family, and an enduring passion for cooking and the outdoors, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A proud attendee of Phoenix College, Irma was noted not only for her culinary skills but also for her warm and welcoming spirit. She was a good cook, creating meals that brought family and friends together, filling their lives with joy and laughter. Her hobbies and interests reflected her vibrant personality and her appreciation for the beauty of nature.
Irma's life was profoundly enriched by her beloved spouse, Cassidy Tessay. They were united in marriage at the Point of Pines Recreation area on July 1, 2014, an accomplishment that filled Irma with immense pride. Together, they celebrated their love and built a life centered around family, support, and shared dreams.
She is survived by her mother, Sarena Casoose Pina; her siblings, Brenda Nosie, Noreen Goseyun, and Joycelyn Goseyun, as well as her brothers, Joseph Goseyun, and Jacob Pina. Irma is also survived by her cherished husband, Cassidy.
Irma was preceded in death by her father, Norbert Goseyun, Sr., and her sister, Connie Pina. Although she is no longer with us, her legacy continues through her family and the countless lives she touched.
Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Irma’s life during the visitation on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Goseyun Residence in Bylas, Arizona. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Ernest Stanley Memorial Hall, followed by her burial at Black Point Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
Irma Jean Tessay will always be remembered for her warmth, creativity in the kitchen, and the love she shared with those around her. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, values instilled in her family, and countless memories that will forever be cherished.
