Jerri Arnette Winans

Jerri Winans, 87, of Thatcher, Arizona, passed into eternity on August 30, 2025 at the Beehive. She was born in Bloomfield, New Mexico on June 27, 1938 to Arnold Levi & Paulene Sitzinger Sinnett. Jerri married the love of her life, Jay Winans, January, 1965. Jay and Jerri raised three children, Carol, Charlotte, and Brian. Jay and Jerry later owned and managed Jay's Construction and Jay's Honey Do's. Jerri wasn't much for fishing trips until after Jay retired. After that, they began to fish in Texas and Colorado for trout and catfish.

Jerri loved Jesus. Jerri and her husband, Jay gave Bible studies in their home through the years, always having to find a larger venue until eventually found True Hope Fellowship in Safford with Kevin West as Pastor.

Jerri loved it when friends stopped by or even strangers. Whoever rang her doorbell or called her on the phone, she was happy with a smile. She always dressed herself up and her clothes had to be matching; hair and make-up done along with her favorite jewelry including earrings. Jerri will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jerri is survived by her son, Brian and daughter, Charlotte along with her good friend, Charles Fox, granddaughter, Kenda (Jim), grandson, Shad (Courtney), great-granddaughter, Cada, grandson Yancy (Meghan), and great- granddaughter, Ashlyn Lee, and great -grandson's, Deegan Jay, and Yancy Wilder.

Preceded in death was Jerri's husband' Jay Winans, daughter, Carol Winans, granddaughter, Shilene Winans, Father, Arnold Levi and Mother, Paulene Sinnett, along with two sisters.

The family would like to thank Valerie Hernandez, Scott Mulleneaux and the compassionate staff at Essential Patient Care and Beehive for the great care Jerrie received while being at your facility. We would also like to thank all of the great care givers we had for Jerri at her home. Thank you also to Dr. Damron, Dr. Ray Tuttle, Dr. Battey, and HOspice Nurses for your guidance and compassion. With all of you Jerri had the best care.

A private viewing will take place Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 9:30 am ~ 10:30 am at McDougal Caldwell Funeral Chapel.

Graveside services for Jerri will be conducted Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Safford Cemetery.
