Jesus Peña

Jesus H. Pena , 96, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on March 17, 2021 in York, Arizona. He was born on August 7, 1924 in Roswell, New Mexico to Rita and Jose Pena. After serving in the United States Army, Jesus went to work for the mine in Morenci where he was a Foreman Concrete Finisher. Jesus met and married his loving wife Priscilla Peralta Pena on June 23, 1951 in Roswell, New Mexico. He loved to cook, farming green chili, gardening, raising sheep, goats, cows, chickens and rabbits. Jesus built his home in York, Arizona where he and his wife raised their family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; Priscilla Peralta Pena, siblings; Elvera, Polo, Juan, Tomasita, Erlinda, Solia, Bennie, Ray, Margie, Ernie, and Alberto. He is survived by his children; Shirley A. Pena, Inez D. (Hilario) Montoya, Jerry Pena, Donald Pena, and Donna Varela, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, siblings; Rosa P. Ramirez and Gilbert Pena. He was a hard worker, a family man, and served the Lord. Jesus' favorite saying was "Buenas Tardes". He was dearly loved and is missed by family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Church at Safford located at 3616 US-191, Safford, Arizona, 85546.
