Joan Marie John

Joan Marie John, a beloved matriarch, passed away on September 22, 2025, in her hometown of Safford, Arizona. Born on August 7, 1941, Joan filled her days with extraordinary love, unwavering faith, and a fierce dedication to her family. As a homemaker, she embodied the very essence of a nurturing spirit, always giving of herself and putting the needs of others before her own.

Joan attended Safford High School, where she laid the foundation for a life marked by resilience and kindness. These qualities were evident to all who knew her; she was a caring and generous soul who spent her life helping friends and family. Her legacy is one of strength in faith, which guided her through the many joys and challenges of life.

Joan had a soft spot for hobbies that allowed her to express her creativity. Sewing brought her immense joy, as did time spent at her cherished cabin, where she created lasting memories with her loved ones. She was not just a mother and a sister but a friend to all who crossed her path. Her vibrant personality and warm heart endeared her to many within her community.

Joan is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Michael John. Her spirit lives on in her daughters, Kim Mack, Brenda (West) Olsen, and Cindy (Steve) Holmes, who carry forward her lessons of love and compassion. She was also the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren, a loving great-grandmother to 34 great grandchildren, and a joyful great-great grandmother to one great-great grandchild.

Joan joins her beloved family members who have preceded her in death, including her father, Dude Felts, her mother, Elsie Felts, and her brothers Earl, Jack, and John Felts, as well as her sister Virginia Norton, and son-in-law Chris Mack. Their memories will be cherished in the hearts of those who remain.

Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the life of Joan at a graveside service on September 30, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM at Safford Cemetery, located at 400 Discovery Park Boulevard, Safford, AZ 85546. A gathering of reflection will follow as they remember a life beautifully lived and a heart that will forever be missed. Joan's legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who were touched by her remarkable spirit.
