Joel Sanchez

Joel R. Sanchez, 67, lifetime resident of Safford, passed away August 26, 2017. He was born March 11, 1950 to Eduardo "Lalo" & Emma Robinson Sanchez in Safford, AZ. He attended Solomon Elementary School and Safford High School. Joel was a lover of music. He enjoyed anything from the 50's to the 80's. He even played drums in a band as a teenager. He often enjoyed slow cruises through town and picnics at Bonita Creek with friends and family. Joel is survived by his daughter Michelle Castillo, granddaughter Sarah Michelle McEnderfer, siblings; Virginia Sierra, Eloisa Bencomo and Robert Sanchez, and numerous nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Eduardo "Lalo" & Emma R. Sanchez, and siblings; Carlos Sanchez, Raul Sanchez, Dora Rubio & Eduardo "Chacho" Sanchez. A Memorial service is planned for Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sanchez Cemetery where family and friends are welcome to come bid their final farewells to Joel.
