John Norris

John Coy Norris passed away on September 7, 2023 in his home in York, AZ. He was surrounded by his family. John was born to JC & Mary Norris on July 14, 1960 in Bisbee, AZ. His family moved to Morenci, Az his freshman year due to the mine closing down. After graduation, Coy moved to Buckeye, AZ and worked building trailers. He moved back to Greenlee county and worked until he was hired by Phelps Dodge. He met his wife Kathy and after a short courtship they married on January 2, 1987. The kids were the best of his life, Coy coached little league. He leaves behind his wife Kathy, son James (Maxine), daughters Summer Paz, Nicole Hollestelle, brothers BC (Mary), Jerry (Judy), and sister Vicky (Marsh) Harper, grandkids Taylor, Tommy, Talon Hollestelle, and Ethan Hernandez. Preceded in death by JC & Mary Norris, his sister Linda Hayes, also by James and Florence Stacy, and Berl Stacy. Coy loved life and helping others. He was a good man, a good husband a great dad and a great friend. Services will be held on September 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Black Jack Campgrounds.
