Jonathan Charles Starr Born October 28, 1946, Los Angeles, California Died July 9, 2007, Pittsboro, North Carolina. We know you have had a long time to think about your 60 years on this earth as you fought your noble battle with cancer, and we are hoping you are giving yourself high marks for having lived a meaningful life. Someone once said you build meaning in your life through your commitments, whether to your loved ones, to your religion or to your fellow human beings. Theres no question about these three things in your life, Jon. You made commitments that you have consistently honored - to your loved ones, to your religion and to your fellow humans. It was well known that your word was your bond. The real measure of a meaningful life is the goodness left in the lives of those touched by it. Jon Starr Superstar has raised strong and good children - each one committed to the values youve embodied. You have been a good husband, father, friend, brother, son and member of an extended family. You have touched countless lives in church service, missionary work, professional endeavors and by the simple gentleness and generosity of your personality. In short, you leave us, and all whose lives you have influenced, better for the life you have lived. We are grateful to you for that, for your friendship and love towards us and we want you to know that. You are a good man and you will continue to touch and bless lives as you go forward. We love the last few lines of Doctrine & Covenants 121: Then shall thy confidence wax strong in the presence of God We trust your confidence is high - we hope it is. You have been a good and faithful servant to God and to so many here who have been blessed by your gentle touch. We send our love as family and friends. On July 14th, private funeral services and internment will be in Park City Utah, conducted by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
