Our brother Joe was born to Trinidad C. Garcia and Frances A. Garcia on July 31, 1954. he was a crazy, complex and caring soul who passed away in his home in Daley Estates on June 08, 2026 at the age of 71.

Joe grew up in Thatcher and attended the Thatcher schools, graduating on May 19th, 1972. Joe married Bridget Blondet in 2008 and they were married for 15 years when she passed in the year 2023.

Joe worked multiple positions in the mining industry with Phelps Dodge Inc., Magma Copper, Freeport McMoran and Ames Construction Co., among others.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bridget, his parents Trinidad & Frances, younger sister Victoria. He is survived by his sisters Mary Lou (Ernie) Ybarra & Paula (Manual) Garcia, Uncle Herman Garcia, niece Dawnee (Aaron) Reedy, nephews Richard (Jodi) Ybarra, Jerry (Gabby) Ybarra, Michael (Rawnie) Ybarra, and several great nieces and nephews along with cousins. 

Memorial service will be conducted at McDougal Caldwell Funerals & Cremations at 112 E. Main Street, Safford, AZ on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10 AM with burial to follow in the Thatcher Cemetery. 

We will gather at the VFW Hall 3481 West 8th Street, Thatcher, AZ following the burial for visitation and luncheon.
