Safford, Arizona

Karen Anne Wiley, born on May 24, 1946, in Riverside, California, departed from this world on January 18, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, dedication, and warmth that left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

For over three decades, Karen devoted herself to a career at Arizona Public Service, where she showcased her intelligence and organization skills. Her acumen and hard work not only earned her respect among her colleagues but also provided a meaningful chapter that she cherished throughout her retirement starting in 2001. She was a proud graduate of Arizona State University, having completed her education there in 1971, and had fond memories of her younger years spent at Oregon City High School, where she graduated in 1963.

Those who were blessed to share their lives with Karen remember her as a bubbly and considerate person, always thinking of others before herself. Her heart was especially devoted to her beloved husband, Leroy Wiley, whom she married on March 7, 1981, in Safford, Arizona. This union was not just a marriage but a beautiful partnership founded on love and mutual respect, a bond that flourished for decades.

Her personality was further enriched by her hobbies and interests. Karen found joy in quilting, solving puzzles, and spending time with her cherished cats. She also had a zest for adventure, delighting in riding on the motorcycle, which brought a sense of freedom to her life. As a good hostess, she took pleasure in gathering family and friends, ensuring everyone felt welcomed and valued in her home.

Karen's pride extended to her religious devotion, often finding solace and purpose in her faith. She was a guiding light for many, demonstrating the essence of compassion and care in every interaction. Family memories reflect her heart and concern not only for her husband but also for all those she loved.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Leroy Wiley, who will carry her spirit with him as he navigates life without her. Though she leaves behind a bittersweet legacy, she will be lovingly remembered for her generous nature and the countless ways she touched the lives of others.

In her passing, Karen joins her deceased family members, Wade and Helen Wright, her beloved parents, and her sister, Elena Quirk, who surely welcome her with open arms.

A funeral service to honor Karen’s life will take place on January 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM at New Testament Baptist Church in Safford, Arizona. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Safford Cemetery.

As we remember Karen Anne Wiley, we take solace in the numerous memories she created and the enduring love she shared, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart that will forever beat within those who knew her.
