Lawana Weech Morris, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, grandma Mo, sister, aunt, and friend. Peacefully passed away November 1, 2025 in her home in Pima, Arizona. She was born May 20, 1929 at 1:00 am in Pima, Arizona, increasing the population to 801
Lawana worked as a secretary to Superintendent Clyde Davis at Pima High School, & for Dr. Shelby Clark at BYU Provo. She worked as a bookkeeper for Long's Theater and then for Wesley J. Morris at the County Office of the Department of Agriculture.
On December 13, 1956 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple, she married her boss(!) Wesley J. Morris. Together they had 6 wonderful children.
Lawana was very proud of her heritage and growing up in Pima. She loved doing genealogy the old fashioned way. Her biggest loves were breakfast, chocolate, and ice cream, actually anything sweet.
She was able to bring back her secretarial skills by working for the Pima Town Hall with her sister Norlene Robinson. Her typing skills were put to use when Wesley was called to be Stake Patriarch. One of those blessings might be yours.
Lawana was preceded in death by her husband Wesley J. Morris, Father David Henry Weech, and mother Hannah May (Allen) Weech. She is survived by her children Roberta (Bruce) Swick, Brian (Patsy) Morris, Janette (Tony) Larson, Leah Morris, Loren (Kathy) Morris and Jerod Morris. Along with 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
