Lucy "Gamma" Onate Duran entered eternal rest on August 3, 2026.  She was born in Morenci, AZ on December 13, 1930 to Rafael & Santos Onate.  She was the youngest of 12 brothers & sisters.

Lucy graduated from Morenci High School in 1950. On August 1, 1954 she married George L. Duran and that union blessed the couple with 4 children; Christine, George W.,  Arnold, and Eric.

She was always ready to lend a hand in her church community, caring for her family members and all her friends and neighbors. This was something she really missed when she was no longer able to help others.

Lucy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, and all of her siblings.

She is survived by the joys of her life, her children: Christine (Joe) Martinez, George W., Arnold, and Eric Duran, her grandchildren: Stephanie Martinez, Paul (Michele) Martinez, Valerie (Irwin) Wyant, Jasmine (Eric) Robinson, and Justine Duran. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: David Wyant, Jacob Wyant, Alessa Robinson, Zoe Robinson, her sister-in-law Agapita Onate, and her dog Matty, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Please join us to celebrate the life of Lucy with services being held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Sacred Heart Parish in Clifton.  Rosary will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Mass at 10:00 followed by the graveside service at 11:00 in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
