Lupe Mena, a lifelong resident of Thatcher, Arizona, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on November 7, 1944, Lupe was the cherished daughter of Anastacio and Juanita Mena. She was the devoted sister of Mary Helen Mena and Manuel Mena, and a beloved aunt to her many nieces and nephews.


Lupe dedicated her life to her family and community, always embodying the values of kindness, generosity, and resilience. Her home was a gathering place filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aromas of her renowned cooking. She was a regular at Eagles games. She took immense pride in nurturing her garden, a vibrant reflection of her nurturing spirit.


Despite the losses she endured, including the passing of her parents, sister, brother, and niece Angie Mena, Lupe remained a pillar of strength for her family. She was a steadfast presence at family gatherings, offering support and love to all who knew her.


Lupe's legacy is one of unwavering dedication to those she loved and a life well-lived in the heart of Thatcher. Her memory will forever be cherished by her surviving sister Josephine Mena and nieces and nephews.


A graveside service will be held to honor Lupe’s life at Thatcher Cemetery on June 21,2024 10 AM. 


Lupe Mena’s life was a testament to the power of family, community, and love. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
