Malcom A. Nelee, affectionately known as "Huznee," was born on February 25, 1991, in Safford, Arizona, and passed away tragically on October 21, 2025, in Bylas, Arizona. He was a genuine person at heart, who brought joy and warmth to all who knew him. Malcom was deeply devoted to his family and friends, always sporting a smile and a carefree spirit. His love for people was evident through his vibrant personality and the connections he forged throughout his life.
Malcom attended Ft. Thomas schools, where he made significant memories and had the distinct honor of serving as the 3rd Grade school mascot—a testament to his playful and spirited nature. Beyond his educational pursuits, he explored his creative side as an artist, expressing himself through various forms of art that resonated with many.
He is survived by his beloved children: Perfirio Nelee, Shynah Nelee, Shannon Nelee, Caroline Nelee, and Harley Nelee. Malcom is also mourned by his loving mother, Pearl Rope, and father, Michael Nelee. He shared a special bond with his siblings—Tyrone Nelee, Kayla Martin, Angel Modless, and Jaymie Modless—who will carry his memory forward with every story and moment they cherished together.
Malcom now joins a host of departed loved ones, including his grandparents Caroline & Walter Nelee, Sr., Brian Chester Nelee & Sharolyn Nelee, Ethel Tortice Rope & Milton Rope, Sr., as well as Milton Rope, Jr., Dale Rope, Sr., David Joe Rope, James Rope, Gabriel Rope, and Sally Rope Kenton.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at the Nelee residence (#17 Douglas Road, Bylas, AZ 85530) on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at the Second Miracle Church (Highway 70, Bylas, AZ 85530) on Friday, October 31, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, concluding at 11:30 AM. Malcom will be laid to rest at Navajo Point, Bylas, AZ, following a burial ceremony at 12:00 PM, on the same day.
Always remembered for his humorous phrase "Hey big burrito back," Malcom A. Nelee leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and artistry that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
