Mary Lou Laparo, born on May 14, 1950, in Safford, Arizona, peacefully departed from this world on October 16, 2025, in Globe, Arizona. She was a shining example of compassion, humility, and love—qualities that defined her throughout her life. As a devoted homemaker, Mary Lou dedicated herself to her family's well-being, offering her unwavering support monetarily and spiritually.
Mary Lou’s legacy is woven with cherished memories of her generous spirit. Known for her favorite saying, "you see there," she had an extraordinary gift for making others feel secure, assuring them that everything would be taken care of. Her nurturing nature was unmatched; she took care of everyone around her without any hesitation, always ready with candy, food, and water for those who passed by her home along the highway.
She received her education at Fort Thomas K-8th and later at Stewart High School in Nevada, where she laid the foundation for a life dedicated to kindness and service. Her proudest accomplishments are her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and happiness.
Mary Lou is survived by her loving children: Glenda Hinton, Marvin Tona, Arvin Kindelay, and Valencia Kindelay. She also leaves behind her sister Veronica Wright, brother Anthony Wright, sisters Burnette Wright and Annie Lita Roth, and her ten grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit within them.
She joined her late mother Millie Kindelay-Wright, as well as her departed children Alfaren Tona and Valerie Dan, and granddaughter Trina Rodriguez in eternal rest.
A heartfelt funeral service to honor Mary Lou’s life will be held on October 24, 2025, at the Lighthouse Assembly of God in Bylas, Arizona. The viewing will be from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Mary Lou Laparo leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that reshaped the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever endure in the hearts of her family and friends.
