Melba Kenaston 1914 ~ 2009 Melba Dora Rosen Kenaston, age 94, peacefully passed away on May 22, 2009 surrounded by family at her son and daughter-in-laws home. She was born November 18, 1914 in Paris, Idaho the fourteenth child of Alfred and Rosa Hoffman Rosen. After high school, she moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, where she graduated from Links Business College and met the love of her life, Boyd William Kenaston. They were married almost 70 years until his death February, 2007. Melba was a gentle woman who dedicated her life to serving her husband and family. Her example of hard work inspired all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her beautiful rose garden, thoughtfulness and quiet manner. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she cherished her association with ward members and neighbors. She is survived by children: Russell B. (JoAnne) Kenaston and Linda Sue (Jim) Ray; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; and preceded in death by her husband; 2 grandsons; 13 brothers and sisters and her parents. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 28, 2009, 2:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends and family may call from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
