Noelette Ann King

December 5, 1945 — December 8, 2025

Noelette Ann King (Whitmire), born December 5, 1945, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, just three days after celebrating her 80th birthday.

Noelette dedicated her life to caring for others. She spent many years as a hairdresser, where she formed countless friendships and touched the lives of so many through her warmth and kindness. Later in life, she became a CNA and eventually retired as a hospice CNA, compassionately caring for patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and ability to make people feel loved and comforted left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Above all else, Noelette loved her family deeply. She treasured attending family gatherings, celebrations, and birthday dinners, always happiest when surrounded by the people she loved most. She created lifelong memories with her family and friends and will be remembered for her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noel Burk Whitmire and Thelma Marie Whitmire, and her son Thad Schmelzla.

She is survived by her brothers, Tommy Whitmire Sr (Sharon) and Jerry Whitmire Sr, along with many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will continue to cherish her memory.

Noelette will be deeply missed and forever loved by all whose lives she touched.

A sunset graveside gathering to bury her ashes will be held with family on Saturday, May 23rd, at approximately 6:45 p.m. at Safford Cemetery.
