As a dedicated street outreach case manager, Olivaz poured his heart into his work, advocating for those in need and leaving a lasting impact on the community he so cherished. His career was not just a job; it was a calling, one that demonstrated his compassion and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place.

Olivaz's educational journey at Safford High School laid the foundation for his accomplishments, which included earning three prestigious awards in Street Outreach. His intelligence and determination shone brightly, but it was his loving nature that truly defined him. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, reveling in moments spent with family and friends.

He was fiercely proud of his family, especially his children, Nathanial Cruz and Lailani Norton, and his marriage to Priscilla Garcia, which took place on May 24, 2024. Olivaz embraced fatherhood with open arms, instilling in his children the love and values that he held dear. His heart overflowed with love and pride for them, as they were his greatest accomplishments.

Olivaz is survived by his beloved mother, Darwina Kimmel, stepmother Darlene Champ, and his devoted wife, Priscilla Garcia. He leaves behind a strong legacy through his children, Nathanial and Lailani, as well as his siblings: Manuel O. Cruz Jr., Rose Cruz, Etta Cruz, Elias Cruz Sr., Delilah Cruz, Ella Miller, Mandy Kogel, Danny Jo Kimmel, JoAnn Andrews, Yvonne Massa, Becky Gates, and Jessica Champ. He cherished his family, who will hold onto the memories they created together.

He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel O. Cruz Sr., and his sister, LaShay Cruz, both of whom will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he loved.

A visitation will be held in his memory on June 27, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the McDougal Caldwell Funeral Chapel, located at 112 East Main Street, Safford, Arizona 85546.

Olivaz Tomas Cruz's presence will be sorely missed, but his spirit lives on through the countless lives he touched. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
