Patricia Carol Curtis, lovingly known as Patty, passed away on September 26, 2026, in Safford, Arizona, at the age of 70. She was born on November 28, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and lived a life defined by love, faith, and devotion to those closest to her.
Patty was a proud graduate of MuKwonago, Wisconsin High School, Class of 1973. On January 5, 1974, in MuKwonago, Wisconsin, she married the love of her life, Ronald Curtis. Their marriage was the foundation of a family that remained at the center of Patty’s heart throughout her life.
She later retired from Phelps Dodge, and continued the same steady care and dedication to her work that she gave so freely in every part of her life. Patty was known as a loving, caring, and joyful woman whose presence brought warmth to the people around her. Three words that summed up her life were Jesus, family, and love. Her favorite saying, “The love we share, will live forever,” reflects the way she lived and the legacy she leaves behind.
Patty found happiness in traveling, hiking, football, basketball, gardening, and crafts. She treasured the experiences she had exploring the world, including traveling to Paris and Bali. Whether she was enjoying the outdoors, following a game, tending a garden, or creating something with her hands, she embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude.
More than anything, Patty loved her family. She loved her grandkids and cherished every moment spent with them. Caring for her grandchildren came so naturally to her and was one of the most special expressions of her generous heart. Her grandchildren were her life, and she loved them more than anything. The time she shared with them, and with all of her family, was among her greatest joys.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela (Hondo) Curtis; her sons, Steven (Theresa) Curtis, and William Curtis; her brother, Michael (Mimi) Allen; and her sisters, Jackie (LaVerne Witt) Lindhorst, Diane (Dave) Hansen, Laurie (Bruce) Volcheck, Jane (Doug Stringer) Franco, and Christine (Terry) Fisher. She also leaves behind 10 beloved grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, and family members who will carry her memory forward with love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Curtis; her parents, Eugene and Joan Allen; and her sisters, Susan Beth and Mary Allen.
A Funeral Service will be held on October 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The River Community Church, 1726 S. 1st Ave. (Highway 191), Safford, Arizona 85546. Following will be a potluck luncheon at The River.
Patty’s life was a beautiful reflection of enduring faith, deep family love, and a joyful spirit. She will be missed dearly and remembered always by those who were blessed to know her.
