Polly J. Gyger

February 10, 1964 — July 17, 2025

Safford, Arizona

Polly J. Gyger, a cherished soul and beloved member of her community, peacefully left this world on July 17, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 61. Born on February 10, 1964, in Columbus, Montana, Polly was a beacon of kindness and a nurturing spirit who touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Polly dedicated much of her life to her passion for floristry, where her creativity blossomed alongside her love for nature. Beyond her career, she thrived in numerous hobbies, including sewing beautiful quilts and jelly roll rugs, fishing, and spending joyful moments with her family amid the beauty of the great outdoors. Polly found pleasure in rock hounding and was a talented jewelry maker, crafting pieces that reflected her artistic spirit.

A proud graduate of Sweet Grass County High School in Big Timber, Montana, Polly carried her nurturing heart throughout her life, always eager to assist anyone or any animal in need. Her strong faith in the Lord provided guidance and strength, steering her through both the joys and challenges she encountered. Those who were fortunate enough to visit with her were often met with her great sense of humor, which could effortlessly bring a smile to their faces, even when it might embarrass some.

Polly's greatest pride resided in her family. In 1994 Polly was blessed with her beautiful daughter Emily (Tecca) Hale. Then in 2000, she married Philip Gyger, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From their union they raised two wonderful children, Emily (Tecca) Hale and Colin Joseph Gyger, whose lives she nurtured with deep affection. She had Immense joy of being grandma to her grandson, Nathan Hale, showering him with love and wisdom.

Polly is survived by her adoring mother, Mary Krone; sister, Teresa Powell (Rich Sarrazin) of Wilsall, MT; Rosie McLeod (Kurtis) of Moore, OK; Sonja (Lenny) Maes of Boisie, ID; Sonale Redli (Neil) Hollister Amsterdam NY; Della Norby (Mitch) of Allen, TX; brothers, Keith (Kasey) Krone of Boise, ID; and Ben (Esther) Krone of Nampa, ID; and her devoted husband, Philip Gyger. She leaves behind a legacy of tenderness that echoes in the hearts of her children, Emily of Nampa ID and Colin of Mesa, AZ, and in the shared laughter and playful moments with her grandson Nathan. In the shadow of her loss are remembered her late father, Dallas Redli, her adopted father, Leland "Bud" Olson, and her stepfather, Harld Krone, along with her dear grandparents, Stanley and Sylvia Whitham.

Polly is also honored by the presence of her three beloved pets—Roscoe the dog, and Comet and Tuff the cats—who brought joy and companionship to her cherished life.

A memorial service to celebrate Polly's vibrant life will be held on July 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church in Safford, Arizona and a second service will be held in Big Timber, Montana at the Lutheran Church sometime in August. Family and friends are welcome to gather and share in the beautiful memories that Polly has left behind, together finding solace in the love she spread throughout her life.

As we remember Polly J. Gyger, let us carry forward her legacy of kindness, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to help those in need, just as she did every day of her life.
