Randell Olsen

Randell William Olsen of Safford passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2020, with his daughter Dianne & Son-in-law Rusty by his side. Randell was born on November 27, 1939, in Safford, AZ to parents Howard George Olsen & Annie Elizabeth Bowman Olsen with siblings Dale, Marvin, and Steven. Randell graduated from Safford High School and then began working for Gila Valley Irrigation where he retired as a Ditch Boss in January of 2020, after working for over 50 years. He is survived by his children Dianne (Rusty) Falkner, Randi Tapia, Darlene (Scott) Overall, Rick (Christy) Olsen, and Brenda (Carlos) Montono. Randell is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 29 Great-Grandchildren, and 19 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and his siblings Marvin & Steven Olsen. Randell is preceded in death by his wife Kay Olsen, his son Stanley Olsen, his grandson Joshua Olsen, his parents Howard & Annie Olsen, and his brother Dale Olsen. Graveside services for Randell will be held on Monday, August 31st beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Safford Cemetery.
