Rebecca A. Rodriguez, a spirited and tenacious soul, graced the world with her presence on June 4, 1955, in Morenci, Arizona. She departed this earthly realm on October 26, 2025, enveloped in the warmth of her beloved surroundings in Safford, Arizona. Her life was marked by determination, laughter, and an unmistakable charm that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A proud graduate of Morenci High School, Rebecca embarked on a rewarding career as an Equipment Operator for Phelps Dodge Mine in Morenci. Her work ethic was mirrored in her personality — she was a chingona, fierce in spirit, yet wrapped in a loving embrace that brought those around her back in gear with her infectious wit. Her laughter was truly contagious, often leaving a trail of joy among her family and friends, propelling them forward with no room for excuses.
Rebecca held a myriad of interests that found her knitting hand-made gifts for her treasured family and friends. In quiet moments, she indulged in a delightful escape, marathon-watching Lifetime movies and telenovelas or immersing herself in the pages of her fantasy novel collection. Each crafted item, each cherished book, held a piece of her heart, a testament to her devotion to family and friends.
The tapestry of Rebecca’s life is woven with her beloved family, among whom are her son Evaristo Berume, daughters Michelle (Hank) Norush, Jerimiah Berume, and Richard Rodriguez. She leaves behind a proud legacy embodied in her ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren who will carry forth her spirit. Her brothers, Evaristo "Juan" Rodriguez, Jr., Pat Rodriguez, and Richard Rodriguez, will forever remember her as a sister who filled their lives with joy and laughter.
Though she experienced sorrow with the passing of her son Raymond Rodriguez and granddaughter Trina Rodriguez, as well as the loss of her parents Angelina & Evaristo P. Rodriguez, her sister Glenda Nabor and brother-in-law Henry Nabor, her spirit remained unbroken. In moments of pain, she cultivated resilience, transforming grief into strength for those she loved.
Rebecca's celebration of life will take place on November 15, 2025, at Set Free Ministries Assemblies of God in Solomon, Arizona, at 11:00 a.m. where family and friends are invited to share their memories and celebrate a life so fully lived. Her legacy endures in the hearts she has touched, the laughter she has shared, and the unwavering love she has given — a timeless reminder of the beautiful soul that was Rebecca A. Rodriguez.
