Sandra Laguna

Sandra Rubio Laguna of Safford, passed into eternity on November 19, 2025 at the age of 78.  She was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico on August 17, 1947 to Guadalupe Rubio & Rosa Saucedo Rubio. 

 Sandra was raised in Morenci graduating from Morenci High School in 1965 then went to Safford to attend the Beauty School.  Soon after graduating from Beauty School she moved to Lordsburg where she met Alfred Laguna.  They married in 1967 and moved to California but after 3 years they were tired of the traffic and smog so they relocated to San Manuel, AZ where Alfred got a job and they soon started their family.

They were blessed with 3 sons: Andy, Dennis, and Joseph who loved their mothers great cooking.  Sandra enjoyed cooking for the family but also loved dancing and watching Novalas.  She was always extra happy around this time of year, wrapping gifts and watching all of the Christmas cartoons.

Sandra is survived by her beloved husband Alfred, her sons Andy (Dee), Dennis (Pat), and Joseph (Johanna), along with 9 grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings: Sammy (Helen), Manny, and Becky (Larry).

She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Services will be held on Friday, December 12th at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church beginning with the Rosary at 11:30 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m.
