Sharron Ferguson, a beloved homemaker, passed away on October 13, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Born on August 17, 1945, in Phoenix, Arizona, Sharron brightened the lives of all who knew her with her nurturing spirit and warm heart.
Sharron attended Willcox High School, where she not only excelled academically but also formed bonds that would last a lifetime. Her journey through life was marked by her deep affection for her family and her passion for gardening, cooking, baking, and crafting. These hobbies were more than just activities for Sharron; they were expressions of her love, shared through delicious meals and beautiful creations gifted to those she cherished.
On January 30, 1964, Sharron embarked on one of her proudest journeys when she married James E. Ferguson, the love of her life. Together, they braved life's challenges and celebrated countless joyous occasions, creating a partnership that lasted for a remarkable 61 years. Sharron often spoke of her family as her greatest accomplishment, and it was this love that filled her life with purpose and happiness.
She is survived by her devoted spouse, James, her son Joseph (Patricia) Ferguson, and her daughter Rebecca Ferguson. Sharron’s nurturing spirit extended to her five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carried a piece of her heart with them. Her love transcended generations, and the bonds she fostered will continue to flourish as they remember her legacy.
Sharron is also remembered by her sister Beverly, who shared laughter and memories with her throughout their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Stephens and Verna Bell Stephens Cavin, and by her brothers Gene, Carl, and Jimmy, as well as her sisters Janet, Joan, and Verna. Each of them held a special place in her heart, with memories that she cherished dearly.
A graveside service to honor Sharron’s beautiful life will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Safford Cemetery in Safford, Arizona, beginning at 11:00 AM. This gathering will be a time for friends and family to reflect on the remarkable woman she was and to celebrate the indelible mark she left on their lives.
Sharron Ferguson, a loving and kind soul, will always be remembered for her giving nature, her dedication to family, and the love that she so freely shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her light will continue to shine through the generations she touched, reminding us to cherish the moments we have with one another.
