With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Tricia Ann Kindelay, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and cherished member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe community. Born on November 6, 1980, in San Carlos, Arizona, Tricia’s vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her before she peacefully passed away on June 15, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona.
Tricia’s journey was one of unwavering dedication to family, education, and community service. A graduate of Fort Thomas High School in 1999, she continued her education at Eastern Arizona College, earning an associate’s degree in office technology in 2001 along with numerous certificates, a testament to her relentless intellectual curiosity and commitment to excellence. So gifted that a new science curriculum had to be crafted during her high school years to challenge her keen intellect.
Her professional life was deeply intertwined with the values she held close to her heart. She devoted nearly two decades to serving the San Carlos Apache Tribe starting at the Bylas Library as a librarian, nurturing the thirst for knowledge and always seeking growth within her community. Tricia transitioned to the Health and Human Services at the Bylas Wellness Center. Later, Tricia embarked on a path of self-employment as a tax accountant, a role in which she thrived especially during the bustling tax seasons, providing invaluable support to many.
Tricia’s personality was a radiant blend of intelligence and warmth, often considering herself the “smart blonde Jan from the Brady Bunch.” Her playful and goofy nature brought laughter to those around her. Despite her remarkable intellect, she remained deeply humble and loving, always going the extra mile to support her children, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Her eyes sparkled with pride whenever she shared stories about her children’s achievements, each accomplishment a treasured victory in her heart.
Family was Tricia’s greatest treasure. She is survived by her devoted children: Jeffrey Mull, Natalie Mull, Watson Mull, Trishelle Mull, and Azhiauna Cheney. Her parents, Patricia and Hubert Rambler Williams, along with her siblings Vernida Nasevaema, Henleigh Koyawena, Carolyn Williams (Marlin Sr.) Hopper, Angela Williams, Samantha (Edmund) Hunter, Huberna Williams, Geralyn Williams, Nayeli Williams, and her brother-in-law Brazie Cobb Jr., stand united in love and remembrance. She also leaves behind two paternal aunts, two maternal aunts, one paternal uncle, and an extended family of thirty-one nieces and nephews who carry forward her legacy.
Tricia was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Kindelay Jr., her sister Donna Cobb, and her maternal grandparents Howard and Rena Rambler, as well as her paternal grandparents Donald and Marion Keevama.
In her free time, Tricia treasured simple joys that illuminated her days: watching Jeopardy, playing volleyball and pool with impressive skill, traveling whenever she could even amidst health struggles, and attending concerts—a passion she embraced from her teenage years onward. She loved taking scenic drives to Mt. Graham and to the lake at Point of Pines, often sharing these peaceful moments with her beloved children. Family gatherings with her siblings were occasions filled with laughter, love, and the warm embrace of togetherness.
Tricia’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with intelligence, compassion, humor, and unyielding devotion. She fulfilled her proudest achievements with grace—the births of her children, graduating from EAC, and above all, uplifting her family whenever they needed her.
Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Tricia’s memory during the viewing on June 18, 2026, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at her residence, 101 S. Williams Road, Bylas, AZ 85530. The funeral service will be held on June 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM at First Miracle Church, Highway 70, Bylas, AZ 85533, followed by burial at Black Point Cemetery in Bylas at 11:00 AM.
Though Tricia Ann Kindelay has left our sight, the brilliance of her spirit shines eternally in the hearts of all who loved her. Her laughter, intellect, and boundless love remain a guiding light, inspiring us to cherish family, pursue knowledge, and embrace life with joyful resilience. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
