Wanda Richardson

Wanda Fay Richardson, of Duncan, Arizona, born on May 10th, 1932, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, was a beacon of warmth, strength, and unwavering love. She married Perry Richardson in 1949. They had three children - Wayne, Ricky & Elaine. The loving couple made their family home in Virden, New Mexico where they had their little family farm. Wanda enjoyed going to church & the women's ministries. Her main love in life were her grandchildren. She loved family get togethers, making homemade blankets and as a devoted homemaker, she created a home filled with comfort, love, and laughter. She possessed an uncanny ability to turn a house into a home, a skill that was appreciated by everyone who had the pleasure of stepping into the Richardson family residence. She was a woman who embraced the ordinary and transformed it into the extraordinary. Her love and care for her family were her life's remarkable achievements. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Perry, father, Lloyd Buckner, and mother, Pearl Buckner, whose values and love shaped the remarkable woman she became. Her sons Wayne & Ricky, her grandchildren Robert Burns & Candy Richardson, her brother Bob Buckner. Wanda is survived by her beloved daughter, Elaine Burns of York Valley. Her grandchildren, Frances Merino (Steve) of Clifton, AZ. Richard Burns (Lori) of Tucson, AZ, Kesha Simms & Heather Burns of Coolidge, AZ., Chris Richardson of Safford, AZ., Michelle Taylor of Wyoming, Liz Richardson, Tammy Richardson. Her great grandchildren, Andrew Burns (Heather) of Clifton, AZ., Sebastain Merino of Clifton, AZ., Jaxson Burns of Tucson, AZ., Lily Burns of York Valley, AZ. Tristan & William Kastner of Coolidge, AZ., Keri Ann Burns of Coolidge, AZ., Great-great granddaughter Alice Burns of Clifton, AZ, her brother Dean Buckner (Rusty) of Oklahoma, numerous nephews & nieces. In celebration of Wanda's life, we encourage you to share your favorite memories and photos of her on the memorial page.
