Zenna Bowman, a loving daughter of the Lord and devoted matriarch, passed away peacefully in Duncan, Arizona, on August 4, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on April 26, 1929, in Mesa, Arizona, Zenna's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her deep love for her family and friends.

Throughout her remarkable journey, Zenna shared the joys of life and the warmth of her heart with all who crossed her path. Known for her kind spirit and selfless nature, she dedicated herself to serving others, often through her passion for crafting and sewing. Zenna had a special talent for crocheting beautiful baby blankets, a cherished gift for every new child she heard was entering the world. This act of love not only showcased her creativity but also reflected her generous heart—a beacon of light for those around her.

Zenna's family was her pride and joy. She leaves behind her beloved sons, Melvin (Nancy), Hal, and Bill Bowman, who carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. She was also a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren, a doting great-grandmother to thirteen great-grandchildren, and a proud great-great-grandmother to seven great-great-grandchildren. Each of them carries a piece of Zenna’s loving spirit in their hearts and will remember her countless acts of unwavering support and encouragement.

Zenna's proudest moment came when she married the love of her life, Sam Bowman, with whom she built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and faith. Their union stood as a testament to true devotion and partnership.

She joyfully embraced life, and her love extended beyond her family. Zenna also had a passion for travel, enjoying the beauty of new places, and making memories that would last a lifetime.

Zenna is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Nathan Eugene Coombs and Eva Echols Coombs, along with five brothers and three sisters. Their spirits welcome her home, where they can share in the love that defined her life.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Duncan, Arizona, followed by a funeral service at 9:00 AM. Zenna will then be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery at 11:00 AM, where family and friends will gather to honor her incredible life.

Zenna Bowman’s legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. As we remember her warmth and kindness, may we also find joy in sharing her story with future generations, ensuring that her spirit lives on in our hearts.
